The Village of Esperanza

Casa Piedra Grande is located in the town of Esperanza which lies on the south coast of Vieques. The house is not only a short two block walk to the beach, but you will also find grocery markets, a bakery, delicious restaurants, happening bars, charming shops, and a eclectic collection of open air vendors. On the beach in Esperanza you will find kayaking and snorkeling rentals along with the occasional Jet Ski. Esperanza is also home base for the Biolumenecent Bay tours and the Vieques Trust Museum, a non-profit membership organization to save the Island's Bio Bays, especially Puerto Mosquito. Esperanza is easy to navigate on foot, but you may want to rent a car or scooter in order to explore all that the island of Vieques has to offer. Publicos (taxis) are also readily available and an affordable way to get around the island.
